January blues

This morning it was about 9 degrees outside when I headed out to the studio. I’m donating soup bowls for the local Empty Bowls fundraiser. I have about 25 ready to be glaze fired, which were loaded today and will be fired tomorrow. I will post pictures when completed. I was given an additional 25# of clay so I hope to crank out another 20-25 before next week. I’ve used the color “Ingunna” for the interior of  the bowl which is a blue-green like the color of waters in Bora Bora. The outside is a sharp contrast of “walnut spice”, a nice laid back cream color with iron flecks.

I have a new student taking wheel classes which always alot of fun. Her progress today produced two wonderful tea bowls!
